I am Sue Fernández (or Susan Fernández Dawe for the purposes of Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) .

I work as a photographer and writer.

Photography – or more precisely, digital art, has become my passion over the last few years and is proving to be an exciting and absorbing challenge.

I  find inspiration in the most unexpected places and if I’ve learnt anything it is that photography makes you take a closer look at things.

I was born in the U. K. in the county of Herefordshire and I still love living there because it is tucked away between the Brecon Beacons to the west and the Malvern Hills to the east –  the scenery is beautiful, especially along the River Wye, which meanders through the county from its source in the Welsh mountains down to Chepstow,  where it joins the Severn Estuary and flows into the sea. Along the way it passes through picturesque towns like Builth Wells, Hay, Ross,  and Symonds Yat, all popular with tourists, walkers and canoeists.

I have also lived in Spain, mostly in Madrid and Valladolid in central Castilla, and also more recently in Barcelona – which has some of the most impressive architecture in the country.

It is predominantly these places which provide the images on which I base my digital art but, of course, anyone who has picked up a camera – and that’s most of us! – will know, that you can find inspiration almost anywhere.

I set up snapdragonpics.co.uk  in August 2013 to display and share my work.

With some of the images I have created products to sell at local exhibitions – currently these include digital prints, greetings cards, and box canvases.

You can also buy prints, phone cases, tote bags, pillows and cards based on my images through the pixels.com website by clicking on the pixels.com icon on the left hand side of my  Snapdragonpics Facebook Fan page.
